Discipline
The College
expects that the studentry will keep education their first and
foremost concern and achieve a high standard of self-discipline. The following
rules are to be strictly observed:
- Smoking
is forbidden.
- No weapon
of any kind is to be brought to the College.
- Pasting
of stickers, posters and writing of slogans on the walls and
display of banners on the College Campus is prohibited.
- No student
is allowed to disfigure or damage the College or private
property on the Campus.
- Use or possession
of Narcotics and Alcohols on the College Cam-
pus is strictly prohibited.
" Violation of any of these rules or commission of any act of moral
turpitude.
or aiding and abetting it, shall make a student liable to expulsion."
Students
Welfare
When students are away from home small problems can arise from time to
time.
This is given a high priority at Oxford College. Most of them are easily
solved
with the help of the College Reception staff. Individual attention is
offered to
each student both in class room and outside. Oxford College provides a
wide
range of support services for its students and their personal preferences,
feelings
and aims are taken fully into account in College activities as far as
possible.
Co-curricullar activities
While academic success for students in the shortest Lime is the main aim
at
Oxfords College a wide range of optional sporting and social activities
is also pro-
vided organised sports include cricket, football, basketball and volleyball
while
facilities are also available by arrangement for badminton, table tennis,
chess,
debating and quizzes. Outings to the cinema, theatre and other places
of
historical or cultural interest (including those in other cities and on
occasions to other
countries) take place regularly, and parties, functions, musical evenings
and
drama groups are organised from time to time. An active student council
puts
across students views to the College's management and enables students
to
participate in the organization of events and activities outside the Class
room.
Leave rules
An application form available from office should be sent to the Principal
by
Student or his parents/guardians well in time reporting his illness or
cause of
absence.
Sick leave for more than 3 days will be sanctioned only on producing a
valid
medical certificate.
Any kind of leave, other than sick leave exceeding three days shall be
granted
when the application is attested by the parent/guardian.
